What’s New in Jeep Compass
Today, the wonky years are left behind and the less clunky Compass has been heading toward the right way leaving the boxy Patriot as history. What Jeep did with the Compass version is to fill the gap between Cherokee and Renegade. The result is a success, a car with blend of utility, style and convenience. In the second generation,
Jeep Compass Sport comes as all-new package. It offers more spacious cabin than its other competitors, four cylinder powertrain, 4-wheel independent suspension, new brake system and electric steering compass.
Features and Trim Levels
The Jeep Compass Sport is the lowest variant of Jeep Compass series. However, it still has durable and premium look. If you take a look closely, it looks similar to the shrunken version of Grand Cherokee with the blacked out roof panel and shark fin C-pillar.
Other features on its exterior are quite notable though including the integrated LED DRL and the defined wheel arches. The Sport version comes with the smallest wheels of only 16 inch. The other trim levels, higher than the Sport include Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk.
Sold at a little more than $20.000, the Jeep Compass Sport version comes with standard equipment including push button ignition, 6-speaker sound system, Bluetooth, dual USB ports, remote keyless entry, TFT driver display in 3.5 inch, Uconnect infotainment system, remote keyless entry, power window and ParkView backup camera.

Nothing with hard edge is found inside the cabin because almost everything comes with rounded edge including the panel features, housing and trim piece. Somehow, these details successfully make the cabin more intriguing and inviting.
However, the interior finish is not really special. In fact, it has hard plastic quality feel to it. For instance, the touch points that are covered with textured or chrome plastic. This feel is totally different to what we find in the highest version of Jeep, the Trailhawk which comes with all the luxury and high quality leather upholstery.
Let’s get on to its driving performance. The Sport version is powered with MultiAir Tigershark engine with 2.4 liter of capacity that can produce of up to 180 horsepower. Despite the same engine for all trim levels, the customers are given with options for its drivetrain and transmission.
